ICICI Bank: what has to be true for the next three years to work?

AMFI Dec 31, 2025 rank 5 in the large cap bucket with average market cap near Rs 9,98,877 crore. The deep-research frame starts with retail and corporate banking with a strong digital franchise and improving subsidiary ecosystem The management layer is loan mix discipline, underwriting quality, and group-level capital allocation, while the capital-allocation question is subsidiary value, payout pacing, and growth reinvestment are the capital-allocation angles people keep debating. On future value, I think the room has to decide whether the premium can stay elevated if execution remains consistent through the cycle. The financial scoreboard is ROA, provisioning discipline, and fee-income quality. Before calling this durable or fragile, I want hard evidence on credit cost, ROA, and loan-mix quality. What would you put on the must-verify list first?

My bullish checklist starts with proving that execution quality has stayed strong enough to justify a premium bank multiple. If the next few quarters confirm credit cost, ROA, and loan-mix quality, I think the market can still be underestimating the per-share upside from here.

My risk checklist is the mirror image. the stock can de-rate quickly if the cycle turns and credit costs stop surprising on the downside. Unless the numbers clearly improve on credit cost, ROA, and loan-mix quality, I would treat any rerating as fragile rather than durable.
